Pedralbes monestary or Reial Monestir de Pedralbes in Catalan is just a short walk from the hotel. The monastery was founded in 1327 and was used as such until 1983. The building is one of the best examples of Catalan gothic architecture with its impressive three story cloisters and decorated chapel. The building is now a museum open for visits from Tuesday to Sundays.
