IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SUMMER TRAFFIC IN LAKE LOUISE
In an effort to improve the visitor experience in Upper Lake Louise through the Summer season, Parks Canada has implemented a multi-layered approach to manage traffic congestion. Expect to see traffic flaggers in Lake Louise directing vehicle traffic from July 1 to September 25, 2016.
•During high visitation times, there will be restrictions on vehicles accessing the road to Upper Lake Louise and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. However, hotel guests along with restaurant and spa patrons with proof of confirmed reservation, will be allowed to proceed even when access is restricted.
•Please let the traffic flagger know you are guest of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise with proof of hotel, restaurant or spa reservation (on your mobile device or a printed hardcopy) and they will let you proceed when other traffic is restricted.
•Plan your arrival after 4:00 pm to minimize delays due to high traffic volume.
