About James Cahill, MS, BCB
James Cahill performed brain research at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego and founded a biotech consulting company specializing in synthetic bone and novel biomaterials. He has practiced clinically at The Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and is the developer of Integrative Biofeedback and Contemplative Science Training, in response to the growing epidemic of stress-related disorders. His writings, lectures and clinical work synthesize two of the world’s great healing traditions: Western biomedical science and Eastern contemplative science.

Cahill trains health professionals, individuals and groups in practical, compassionate, transformational methods to precisely measure and control basic mind-body interactions. These systems, previously considered to be beyond voluntary control, include heart rate, breath patterns, muscle tension, blood flow and brainwave patterns. His methods integrate findings from a broad spectrum of disciplines and include health education, biofeedback, psychophysiology, mindfulness, sleep optimization, motivational behavior change and contemplative neuroscience.
