Transformed into a hotel in 1924, this downtown brick and terra-cotta Italian Renaissance tower "exudes beautiful old-world elegance." The "excellent location" is blocks from the Seattle Art Museum and Pike Place Market. The Fairmont Olympic is currently under-going a complete 450 room renovation, which is updating all guest rooms and corridors. As the floors go out of order, one by one, the Fairmont Olympic is left with an average of 45 rooms’ worth of furniture per floor. In an effort to combat homelessness in Seattle, the Olympic has partnered with Mary's Place and Amazon to help repurpose the excess furniture from the Hotel.
