Plaza Senayan
Plaza Senayan is located in the vicinity of Senayan Complex and linked directly to Fairmont Jakarta through a convenient underground tunnel. It offers shoppers a variety of international and local luxury brands for apparel, leather goods, accessories and much more. The enormous center also has a bowling alley and "billiard arena," as well as restaurant options. Another interesting feature is Marygold Clock, an enormous timepiece, made by Seiko, whose six golden figures musically spring to life every hour to the delight of patrons.

Senayan City
Located across from Plaza Senayan, this address is another noteworthy retail, entertainment and lifestyle center in the heart of Jakarta. "Sen C" features an impressive collection of high-end international design brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci and Raoul. It also houses restaurant options ranging from Angus House to Crystal Lagoon that offers late night dining until 12:00am. Head to the eight floor where designer sales are frequently put together.

Ratu Plaza
Located in the south of Jakarta, Ratu Plaza is very well known among electronic and gadget enthusiasts for finding a wide selection of electronic goods with affordable price. Ratu Plaza, usually called eMall by locals, provides two floors full of stalls offering electronic stores with plenty of choices, while the other floors offering restaurants and supermarket.

Jalan Surabaya
Founded by former Jakarta governor Ali Sadikin, Jalan Surabaya is a long straight road that is well known for the antiques market. Located in the suburb of Menteng, Central Jakarta, Jalan Surabaya offers array of antiques from wooden wayang, statues, antique lighting, wood sculptures, ceramics, and many items that catch the eyes. This particular spot is a must-place to visit in Jakarta.

Grand Indonesia
Located in Jakarta Pusat (the city's CBD), Grand Indonesia Shopping Town is a massive establishment that has two wings connected by several bridges. One of the wings features a New-York inspired decoration and architecture on one floor and Japanese Zen gardens on other. A must see in Grand Indonesia  include the Dancing Fountain, a replica of NYC's Rockefeller Plaza fountain complete with a light and sound show, and Galeri Indonesia Kaya, a venue that uses digital technology to showcase Indonesian culture.

Located in Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, Alun Alun is a one-stop shopping venue which offers a large selection of Indonesian handicrafts, clothing and hand-painted batik fabric. Handbags, shoes, scarves, jewelry, housewares and handmade toys and dolls are also available. The prices are a bit more expensive than Jakarta's open-air flea markets, but the wares are of higher quality and the space is comfortably air-conditioned.
