The Telluride Bluegrass Festival will make sure the San Juans echo with music each summer. Telluride Bluegrass Festival brings in some of the finest musicians working in the genre today. Past line-ups have included well-known performers Mumford & Sons, James Taylor, Bela Fleck, Lyle Lovett and Alison Krauss. Great music and unbelievable scenery provides a unique thrill to enjoy a wide swath of the unique genre of "Telluride Bluegrass."

Night Grass Shows: The sun can set and the temperature can drop, but it doesn't stop the music at Telluride Bluegrass. NightGrass is the late-night component of the Festival.

    • Indoor shows held nightly at the historic Sheridan Opera House and the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon

Workshops: Daily workshops are presented at Elks Park encompassing a variety of unique musical collaborations and performances that embrace the festival's rich musical diversity.

    • Elks Park Workshops, a long-standing Telluride tradition, are presented free to all.

Music Contests: Songwriters and bands from around the country take part in the nationally recognized Telluride Troubadour and band competitions, vying from beautiful instruments, cash prizes and well deserved recognition.

    • There is no charge to listen and enjoy the wonderful music of fine songwriters and great string bands.
    • Finalists of the competition will perform on the main stage in Telluride Town Park.

Family: Families trek to Telluride every year to enjoy the Bluegrass Festival. Families have been attending the festival for several generations, kids who grew up at Telluride Bluegrass are now bringing along their own kids to join the festivities.

    • The Family Tent provides whimsical, musical and educational activities for children and their parents.
    • Jugglers' Groove offers lessons and free juggling balls for new and experienced jugglers each day.
    • Betty Hoops: Come join the best craft party of the summer. Kids can decorate and keep their own hula hoop and will have the chance to learn "Hoop Dancing" throughout the festival.
