DAILY ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 15, 2018 TO JANUARY 5, 2019

LITTLE ELVES’ PLAYROOM | AGES 6 AND UNDER
Little Elves’ Playroom is full of fun and games tailored to guests aged 6 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Supervision is not provided.

BASE CAMP GAMES ROOM | AGES 7 AND UP
Base Camp is an activity lounge featuring a gaming centre, billiards, foosball, board games and a selection of books. Young children must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

REINDEER RALLY: INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL ADVENTURE
This ‘Reindeer Rally’ game by Eventology is in the style of ‘Pokemon Go’. Find Rudolph the Reindeer in the hotel lobby to scan a QR code and download the free App on your smart phone or tablet. Rudolph has lost his reindeer friends and needs your help to find them as quickly as possible! Beat the clock and earn extra points by completing a series of festive and family themed challenges as you go. The hunt will take approximately 30 - 75 minutes to complete. The winner’s prize, a special Holiday Basket and a $100 Fairmont Gift Card.

Pay-it-forward by designing a work of art made with the intent to brighten up someone's day this festive season. Surprise a friend, a family member, a random stranger, or someone in need of a smile. We challenge you to gift your creation by December 25th. Art supplies will be available.

CRAFT: DREAM CATCHERS
Weave together a vibrant dream catcher with feathers, beads, sinew and a suede wrapped hoop. Dream catchers are a craft passed on from neighboring First Nations trading partners who lived in the prairies and East Coast of Canada. They are suspended in windows to allow good dreams to pass through while entangling bad dreams in the web which then perish at the first light of dawn. Children under 10 will require adult assistance. Meet at 3:10 p.m. at Guest Services dressed for the outdoors. Workshop will be held in the neighbouring Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.

CRAFT: STACKED SOAPSTONE INUKSHUKS
Craft an Inukshuk figure with guidance from the creative team of Whistler’s Fathom Stone Art Gallery. Inukshuks are human-made stone landmarks, or cairns, used by the Inuit and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America. Young children will require assistance.
